Whether you are a personal training client who works out with a YouCoach several times a week, or the occasional “boot camper,” you can maximize your results with our fitness professionals through a few easy steps.
Step 1: Early is on time! Showing up to your sessions a few minutes early to warm-up, stretch, and get ready for workout is an easy first step to take. Clients that show up late or on time for their sessions have to be warmed up during the session time which takes time from the bootcamp.
Step 2: Be honest and have open communication with your YouCoach. Clients that are open and honest with their trainer about their health and fitness goals and what they don’t like ( i.e. “I don’t like doing burpees because they hurt my bad back and knees”) are more likely to have a positive experience with their sessions. Also, communication is an important aspect of a training relationship that can make all the difference.
Step 3: Trust the plan. After communicating with your trainer about your goals, expectations, likes, dislikes, and responsibilities throughout this journey you have to be willing to trust the process and be patient with yourself. In a world of quick fixes, convenience, and other false information spread about the “best health and fitness methods,” it isn’t healthy for our bodies to quickly transform from teas and supplements while sustaining long-term results. Trusting the plan is probably one of the most challenging steps within the process because we are humans, not machines. A well-devised fitness program has to be customized to your specific fitness level and health status, then gradually changed over time to fit your needs and goals (which is where communication comes into play again).
To get the most out of participating in Countdown to Change boot camps, you have to know that it is not a one-way street. Training with a YouCoach is like any other healthy relationship; it requires communication, dedication, and consistent work. Together we’re stronger, and it is our most significant victory when we achieve goals as a team!
